Titanic Pilsner – Lakefront Brewery, Inc.

17 01 2009

titanicTitanic Pilsner brewed by Lakefront Brewery, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI is a limited edition 22 oz. release brewed in conjunction with the Milwaukee Public Museum’s exhibit, Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition. Lakefront did an excellent job on the graphics and text of the label. A very nice story about 10,000 bottles that were on board the Titanic when it sank in the icy Atlantic all those years ago.

The Titanic Pilsner pours a nice dark yellow/light golden color and offers a nice off white colored head. The first aromas are of  slight citrus hops but then settles into a more malty aroma that does not overwhelm your senses by any degree. It’s the flavor that makes Titanic Pilsner stand out. Brewerd with German Hallertau and Czech Saaz Hops this beer stands true to form of that of a true pilsner. titanic-2Taste is that of medium body with a nice robust flavor of a sweet lighter malt, citrus zest and grassy hops that finishes with a nice crisp malty finish.

The exhibit, Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition runs through May 25, 2009 and the Milwaukee Public Museum. There is a $2.00 off admission coupon attached to the side of each 22 oz. bottle.
